Senior Pet Care
Just as our health care needs change as we age, so do our pets.
Senior Pet Care
Dogs are considered seniors around 7 years of age, and even earlier in giant breeds, and cats are considered seniors around 10 years of age. Transitioning into the “golden years” will change your pet’s nutritional needs, exercise habits, and many other aspects of their daily routine. Can you tell the difference between normal aging and a medical problem? As in humans, some health issues that affect older pets begin with very subtle changes that may go unnoticed at home until the problem has become serious. Our veterinarians understand the aging process, and through regular wellness visits they can help you to best keep your pet healthy. We welcome your questions and encourage your to be involved in decisions regarding your pet’s health care.
